The LIFE REWAT project was cited in the scientific paper “Sixty years of global progress in managed aquifer recharge” (Dillon et al., 2018), published on the Hydrogeology Journal, going through 60 years of global processes in the implementation ofthe managed aquifer recharge strategy. The article estimates that managed aquifer recharge strategies could likely exceed 10% of global groundwater demands.

The LIFE REWAT project is cited with referenceto the Suveretomanaged aquifer recharge as a significant experience at European level, together with other projects such as FP7 MARSOL, H2020 Aquaness, etc.
